Has your child had fillings and fall out?

Is your child restless in the chair and you as a parent find it a nightmare to bring them in and sit still for a filling?

Here at Absolutely Dental we take pride in bringing comfort and perform the latest techniques available for all ages. One of the latest treatment options available for children is a Stainless Steel Crown using the Hall Technique.

Why a Stainless Steel Crown?

A baby tooth is important to maintain the space for the eruption of the permanent teeth. Although children start to lose teeth at age six, they won’t lose their baby molars until the age of 12 or 13. SSC (Stainless steel crown) are a great innovation for sustaining the longevity of the baby molars. SSC is more durable, gives a full coverage to protect the tooth, very little sensitivity and more successful than conventional restorations. SSC are a great option for children who are anxious, have special needs and those who may require General Anesthesia.

What is a Stainless Steel Crown?

SSC are metal caps used to restore decayed baby teeth. They are:

  • Same size and shape as a tooth
  • Easy to clean
  • Last more than 4 years, as opposed to fillings, which last less than 3 years (in baby teeth)
  • Contain safe metals
  • Cover entire tooth to stop decay from progressing

No drilling, numbing required. Only takes a few minutes.

Placed 2-7days prior to placement of SSC to create a space for the SSC.
